Triple Jump and Habitat for Humanity International jointly launched the MicroBuild Fund (MBF) in 2012. According to UN Habitat, the global population living in substandard housing is 1.6 billion and increasing, especially as the world becomes more urban: half of the global population currently live in cities, and 828 million people live in slums. This rapid urbanization has fed housing deficits and fostered substandard living conditions. To address that demand, Triple Jump and Habitat for Humanity International established the MicroBuild Fund. The MicroBuild Fund has unlocked opportunities for long-term social housing investments, and enables financial service providers to supply tailored services to their clients.
