Relationship Manager

32-40 hours per week, Amsterdam

Triple Jump targets financial sector development and invests in institutions that service the base of the pyramid. Triple Jump offers professional fund management services to investors, ranging from asset selection, to portfolio management to fund administration. Thanks to mandates from multiple investors Triple Jump can provide services to financial intermediaries in all stages of their development. Triple Jump investees include financial institutions (ranging from NGOs receiving their first funding, all the way to regulated banks) and investment funds.

Role

You will join the Business Development/ Investor Relations team. In this position, you will be responsible for the day to day relationship management and communication with investors (clients). You will execute market research, advise on a business development strategy and assist in the execution hereof. You will also take part in the development of new investment products.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Daily relationship management with existing investors and prospects;
  • Responding to requests for information and requests for proposals from existing and potential investors;
  • Organizing and preparing meetings with existing investors and prospects;
  • Identifying and targeting key investors, including Development Financial Institutions, foundations, banks, pension funds, and other institutional investors globally;
  • Preparing and updating fundraising material, including investor presentations and due diligence questionnaires;
  • Coordinating client reports (monthly-, quarterly- and annual reports);
  • Participating in and preparing investor conferences, events, seminars, etc.

Job requirements

  • Academic background;
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently;
  • Can do mentality, service oriented, able to perform under pressure, teamplayer;
  • Strong client focus;
  • Good organising skills;
  • Expertise in creating and editing client presentations, including use of PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English both orally and in writing.

Desirables

  • Experience with a relationship management role within a banking or asset management environment, preferably with organisations such as Development Financial Institutions or other institutional investors government agencies and (family)foundations;
  • Affinity with impact investing.

Head of Legal

Expectations

As Head of Legal you will be responsible for all the legal aspects of our investment process.  Accordingly, you will provide legal advice on and negotiate various private equity, fund and debt transactions, cooperating closely with our commercial teams and support functions.  You will provide in support setting up new investment and governance structures and supervise external counsels TJ employs. You will manage the current legal team (6 FTE) and coach other team members. We expect you have profound knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment TJ operates in. You will report directly to the Director Fund Services and act as a sparring partner for the Executive Board.

The position requires limited travel to countries where Triple Jump is active. The position is initially for 1 year and based in Amsterdam. If successful, the candidate will be offered a permanent position. Candidates must possess a valid working permit for the European Union.

Job Requirements

  • A master of laws degree, preferably in Dutch or UK law
  • > 7 years of relevant legal transaction related experience in private equity or fund of funds documentation;
  • Detailed knowledge of contract law and financial law, preferably through working at an international law firm or financial institution;
  • Capable of independent decision-making, ability to assess and balance legal risk with business interests;
  • Management experience;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Culturally sensitive;
  • Affinity with Triple Jump’s mission and vision;
  • Fluent in English, good knowledge of Spanish (or French) preferred.

Financial Administrator Fund Services

 

32-40 hours per week, initially for 1 year, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Triple Jump offers professional fund management services to investors, ranging from asset selection, to portfolio management to fund administration. Thanks to mandates from multiple investors Triple Jump can provide services to financial intermediaries in all stages of their development. Triple Jump’ investees include financial institutions (ranging from NGOs receiving their first funding to regulated banks) and investment funds in developing countries.

All investments Triple Jump makes, are in unlisted securities. The Finance Team is involved in a wide range of activities performed for these investments, including transaction execution, administration, valuation, accounting, monitoring and cash management. Financial Administrator will work on all of these aspects, making it a varied role.

Expectations

As a Financial Administrator, you are responsible for:

  • administrating the funds debt and equity investments in different currencies in the system we use (Efront);
  • invoicing investees, monitoring their payment behavior and providing follow-up in arrears;
  • executing cash transfers, including foreign exchange hedges;
  • reconciliation with the custodian, external fund administrator and hedge counterparties;
  • periodic reports for the funds under management;
  • contributing to the optimization of processes and data capture;
  • liaising with (inter)national colleagues – Portfolio Management, Legal Team and Investment Teams – and clients.

Job Requirements

  • education at least college (HBO) level;
  • experience in managing complex financial records;
  • proven experience with accounts receivables;
  • excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel;
  • excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, knowledge of Spanish;
