Project Manager

Triple Jump investees include financial institutions (ranging from NGOs receiving their first funding, all the way to regulated banks) and investment funds, in developing countries.

 Job Description

Due to growth and diversification Triple Jump expects to have multiple, simultaneously running projects in the coming years. As a Project Manager your main responsibility is securing that projects run on time, within budget and scope and that you bring the company’s internal project capacities to an higher level. You are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects they oversee. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects;
  • Development of project plans and objectives as well as budget, involving all relevant stakeholders;
  • Development and maintenance of detailed project timetables to track progress;
  • Lead and coordinate the various working groups within the projects;
  • Facilitate the meetings of the projects groups, ensuring availability of meeting spaces, conference call equipment, meeting materials;
  • Promote the projects internally and externally with regular updates to all stakeholders;
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
  • Report and escalate to the steering committee as needed;
  • Manage the relationship with the participants in the project groups, project sponsors and other stakeholders to encourage a high level of participation and commitment;
  • Create and maintain project documentation and an easy-to-access archiving of these.

Job Requirements

  • Academic educational background, preferably in the fields of organizational science or in business administration;
  • Solid background in development of administrative organization and business process redesign, preferably in the financial sector;
  • Proven knowledge of project management techniques (PMP/ Prince II/ Lean Sigma / Agile);
  • Experience with management information system implementations is a plus;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • Experience in facilitating workshops & meetings as well as excellent presentation skills;
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel is a plus.

(Senior) Advisor - Inclusive Pension and Insurance Market

40 hours per week, Amsterdam based

The Market Development team contributes to building responsible and inclusive financial markets by supporting young innovative finance initiatives, providing capacity building services to portfolio companies and strengthening the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our services areas focus on new product/market combinations (Missing Middle, green finance, early stage enterprise finance), smarter use of data/technology (Lean data, Fintech) and social impact (making impact measurement impactful).

In order to contribute to building an inclusive pension and insurance market globally, Triple Jump is seeking an Advisor that helps to build and implement a capacity building program for Triple Jump’s investees and the broader pension & insurance ecosystems.

Expectations

As (Senior) Advisor you will support the Market Development team in the development and implementation of technical assistance (TA) program for Inclusive Pensions & Insurances – in developing countries.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Assessment of the inclusive pension/insurance markets and identify opportunities for (seed) investment and capacity building;
  • Build up a portfolio of technical assistance projects with portfolio companies, including project developments, procurement, quality control and reporting;
  • Developing, implementing and scaling innovative products and services in the field of micro-pensions & insurances;
  • Contribute to raising additional funding to enable scaling of the services.

You will report to the Director Market Developments. The position is initially for 6 months, but may be renewed for longer term, depending on anticipated external developments.

Job Requirements

  •  > 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of consulting and TA in the inclusive finance sector in developing countries;
  • Strong expertise on inclusive insurance and pension solutions; solid actuary knowledge;
  • Preferably existing network of qualified consultants in the (micro) insurance/pension space;
  • Fluent in English and a working knowledge of French/Spanish language.

Job Description

As (Senior) Investment Associate you are part of Triple Jump’s Fund of Funds Investment Team, involved in the further development of an innovative investment mandate to reach out to the ‘missing middle’ in developing countries and emerging markets. Your main focus will be the identification, appraisal, processing and monitoring of investments to private equity  funds and financial institutions active in SME investments. Working within dedicated transaction teams with a high degree of independence you are responsible for deal sourcing, screening, due diligence, drafting investment proposals, deal structuring and negotiation, as well as portfolio monitoring. Additionally, you will also perform overarching portfolio management tasks that are related to client relationship management, reporting and communication, as well as day-to-day operational business activities.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably MA University degree in Finance, Economics or related fields;
  • > 4 years relevant professional experience, of which at least 2 years through direct exposure to impact investments in emerging markets;
  • Investment experience with Private Equity-type funds and/or Fund of Funds is preferred;
  • Work experience in developing countries a plus;
  • Existing network relevant to the position a plus;
  • Self-starter, good multi-tasker, able to work independently within a small, dedicated team;
  • Comfortable in taking on new challenges while at the same time being hands-on regarding day-to-day tasks;
  • Excellent writing, presentation, analytical and organizational skills;

Job description

As Junior Legal Counsel you will join the Legal team that currently consists of 6 other members and one Head of Legal. You will report to the Head of Legal. You will work in close cooperation with the other legal team members, the investment officers and the finance team. It will be your responsibility to perform a broad variety of tasks such as:
• Substantive review of KYC documentation and drafting of compliance reports;
• Drafting, review and administrative processing of legal documents regarding investment transactions such as:
o NDAs, waivers, and other agreements;
o Amendments to existing loan agreements and corresponding administration;
• Responsibility over legal processes:
o Handling correspondence with external parties, coordination of legalization requests;
o Internal knowledge sharing on legal procedures and corresponding templates;
o Administration of pledges and monitoring of compliance with loan agreements;
• Administrative corporate secretary activities:
o Minute making of supervisory board and shareholder meetings;
o Maintenance of corporate contract register; and
o Corporate housekeeping of relevant entities.

Job requirements

• A Master of Laws;
• Fluent in Dutch, English and Spanish;
• Relevant legal experience, preferably in the financial sector;
• An eye for detail, quick learner, Self-starter, good multi-tasker
• The ability to create and uphold order and structure within assigned tasks;
• Work experience in developing countries a plus
